Cultural Education

Art and cultural activities

The Cultural Education Program includes the implementation of cultural activities of non-formal education in special population groups, in collaboration with welfare, mental health or migration sector bodies and services.

Trained cultural educators implement activities in subjects such as dance, theater, music, painting, graphic design, cinema, robotics (STEM), martial arts, instrument making, learning Greek or English. The activities are aimed at children, adolescents and adults. Cultural activities are implemented in the spaces of partner bodies and, specifically, in hostels and other housing structures (such as refugee camps), in community structures (such as Day Centers or Creative Employment Centers) and in educational contexts, in collaboration with responsible education and psychosocial support professionals. The Cultural Education Program is aimed at individuals and groups who have experienced social exclusion due to movements or low socioeconomic and cultural background (immigrants, refugees, Roma), due to addictions or psychosocial problems. The goal of our program is to promote social and cultural integration, through intercultural contact and contact with new technologies. Particularly important is the creation of works (artistic creations, audiovisual projects, performances, etc.) by participants, with the aim of presenting them and communicating with the community.
