What are KOI.S.P.E. (Social Cooperatives of Limited Liability)
Social Cooperatives of Limited Liability are Private Law Legal Entities with limited liability of their members and were established by Law 2716/99 of the Ministry of Health and Welfare for the "Development and modernization of mental health services".
KOI.S.P.E. are a unique form of cooperative as they are simultaneously productive and commercial units but also Mental Health Units, the development and supervision of which belongs to the Ministry of Health & Welfare.
Their basic goal is the socioeconomic integration and professional integration of people with serious psychosocial problems, contributing to their treatment and economic self-sufficiency.

Law 2716/99 is a law that stipulates that:
The basic pillar in the administration of KOI.S.P.E. is the General Assembly in which all members participate, have equal vote regardless of the number of cooperative shares they hold and their psychosocial condition
In the Board of Directors of KOI.S.P.E., 2 members from Category B must participate, i.e., people with psychosocial difficulties
KOI.S.P.E. members who receive disability benefits keep their benefits even if they work in the cooperative
Cooperative members who do not have or do not yet have the ability to work have a say in its decisions and a share in its profits
Mental health workers and trainers working for KOI.S.P.E. operate therapeutically and educationally with the goal of preparing members for full integration into the labor market
